After   the incident at Frankfurt the plane had to be written off and was scrapped at   Frankfurt in May 1979.
Accident description While the Caravelle was taxiing to its take off   position for a flight to Lyon, it collided with a fence marking construction work. The right wing tank sustained substantial damage – the plane lost 500Kg  of fuel and was written off. All 41 occupants were able to leave the plane without injuries. In May 1979 the plane had been completely broken up for scrap at  Frankfurt. The Captain was held responsible as he underestimated the distance between the right wing and the fence.
