Aircraft history F-BSGZ c/n 83 Caravelle 3, made its first flight   June 29th 1961 as F-BJTC and was delivered to Air France on July 10th 1961   named “Bourbonnais”. On August 10th 1961 it was leased to Air Liban   and returned to AF on December 13th 1961 named “Comte de Foix” and registered F-BKGZ. On September 26th 1974 it was leased to Royal Air Lao and registered XW-PNH. It was returned to the owner F-BSGZ in November the following year. It was then ferried to Vientnam.
Accident description During an attempt to hijack the plane the bomb of  the hijacker exploded in the cockpit resulting in severe structural damage. The aircraft was written off and was broken up 20 years later.
