Aircraft history N905MW c/n 95 Caravelle 6R, made its first flight on   October 10st 1961 and was delivered to United Airlines as N1010U named   “Ville de Strasbourg” 10 days later. On January 7th 1972 it was   sold to Sterling Airways and named “City of Brussels” and   registered OY-SAM. On May 22nd 1978 it was sold to Midwest Air Charter and   registered N905MW.
Accident description A Delta Lockheed Tristar caused wake turbulence on   approach to runway 26 of Atlanta Hartsfield. This caused a hard landing  resulting in the collapse of the left main gear. The aircraft came to rest  1500m past the runway threshold and 85 meters of the runway center line.
